It all started when…

In 1968 Phil started a new position for starting the Irrigation - Landscape Lighting Division for Shemin Nursery and Landscape Supply. Phil was overseeing up to 15 locations for Shemin handling all aspects of the Irrigation and Landscape lighting division.

In 1992 Shemin decided to leave the Irrigation Landscape Lighting Supply side of the business and concentrate on the wholesale nursery division. Phil stated a new chapter with a small sales consulting company called Gallo and Associates. Phil was handling sales consulting for all of New England, New York and Eastern Canada.

In 1995 Phil decided to expand and bring in a partner Kerry Burnley. With this new partnership the sales territory expanded to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, DC, and the Virginia.

Over the years Phil and Kerry decided to have their own separate agencies. They still talk and remain friends today.

In 2006 Phil brought in his son-in-law, Jason Andrews. For several years Phil was teaching and managing Jason to work with customers the same way he did: always with integrity and respect, and to follow a model where the customer always comes first.

Phil currently is semi-retired but he still comes to the office everyday and is always interested in the day to day, asking about the customers and new products.
